Getting married in a museum

“What greater thing is there for two human souls, than to feel that they are joined for life”, said George Eliot. And what could be more beautiful than coming together in a unique and magical location such as those offered by the Fondazione Brescia Musei: the Wedding Hall of the Santa Giulia Museum and the Wedding Hall of the Tosio Martinengo Picture Gallery. Every second and fourth Saturday of each month, these halls, which are usually used for other functions, are made available for weddings and civil unions, for people from Brescia and beyond.

The spaces, which are already spectacular in themselves, are a unique piece of architecture and art history. They are the best-preserved and most lavish in the city.

In addition to the ceremony, the singular nature of these halls makes it possible to round off the wedding with a guided tour of the collections, for the bride and groom as well as the guests. There is the option of using the exhibition rooms for photo shoots, as well as for purchasing books and catalogues at a discounted price, either to give as a gift or to treat yourself. Finally, it is possible to use the spaces to host parties. In addition, the Fondazione Brescia Musei, with the patronage of the Municipality of Brescia, is offering all couples celebrating their wedding here the Card Brescia Musei Desiderio, valid for 12 months, which provides free admission to the city’s museums.
