From 17 May 2022 to 16 June 2022

Along the paths of Brescia photography, the stop in Via Tosio 15 b, where Franco Piazza worked until 1980, becomes a must.

The exhibition

Curated by Francesca Piazza

In the 70s and 80s, Franco Piazza had transformed his studio into a container, where, in addition to photography, we met to talk, drink something together and elaborate creative strategies.

The portrait was his passion and profession, although social reporting and travel photography often involved him. These were the years in which the iconographic “poetry” of David Hamilton dictated the law in the field of portraiture and Franco Piazza was able to interpret it in an admirable way, not stopping at pure quotation, but elaborating the contents to adapt them to the needs of his customers.
