his masterpieces at the Santa Giulia exhibition halls, enriching the itinerary with culinary stops to savour local specialities.

Church of St. Francis of Assisi

Visit the Church of St. Francis of Assisi to admire the frescoes and paintings of Romanino and Moretto. The Church houses several works by the master, including the wonderful frescoes that adorn the side chapels. The Church, built in the 13th century, is an example of Lombard Gothic architecture. The simple facade and interior reflect Franciscan spirituality.

Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo

Continue with a visit to the Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, which houses an exceptional collection of Renaissance works, including paintings by Romanino, one of the featured artists in the exhibition The Renaissance in Brescia. The museum’s rooms offer a comprehensive overview of the Brescian Renaissance, preserving artists such as Savoldo, Moretto, and Foppa.

Duomo Vecchio (Old Cathedral)

Explore Brescia’s Duomo Vecchio, also known as the Rotonda. The Romanesque church features a circular plan and an imposing facade. Inside are numerous and important works of great artistic value, including the cycle of canvases by Romanino and Moretto originally made for the chapel of the Blessed Sacrament in the basilica of San Pietro de Dom, transferred here after its demolition.

L’Amarena, located in Cellatica in the heart of the Hills Park, offers breathtaking views that extend to the Apennines and, on a clear day, to Mount Rosa. Under the guidance of chef Diego Pasinetti, the kitchen offers creative dishes that combine tradition and innovation. The focus is on the choice of raw materials, preferably from local producers, with whom authentic collaborations are established, promoting an inclusive and sustainable food system.

This restaurant joins the initiative promoted by the Cibodimezzo association, offering a menu dedicated to the territory that is rich in selected local products, which can be consulted and booked online only from October 14 to December 15. This is an excellent opportunity to immerse oneself in the reality of Brescia from a enogastronomic point of view.

Quadra Winery

At the gateway to Franciacorta, at the foot of Monte Orfano, lies Quadra, founded in 2002 by the Ghezzi family. The winery produces authentic Franciacorta wines. Its vineyards, spread over 20 hectares and cultivated according to an integrated viticulture model, yield 170,000 bottles a year. At the winery, you can participate in guided tastings, and the location is perfect for events, corporate meetings or simple family weekends.

Brescia Hills Park

A protected natural area offering numerous hiking and trekking trails, suitable for all levels of difficulty. The trails pass through forests, meadows and vineyards, with the possibility of spotting local wildlife. The starting point includes several entrances, including Sant’Anna and Urago Mella.
