Curated by: Stefano Lusardi

Promoted by: Fondazione Luciano Sorlini

The exhibition will deepen the knowledge of the works of the Lombard painter, the following paintings are on show: La Vecchia Contadina, il Bravo and Diana and the Nymphs surprised by Atteone, notable examples of his youthful productions are in Brescia and his mature phase in Milan. These works will be placed in dialogue and in comparison with Venetian art, which is already present in the Museum, and with significant loans from prestigious cultural institutes and renowned private collections. The exhibition itinerary will thus allow for an in-depth analysis of the stylistic change of the artist when moving from Lombardy to Veneto.

The Sorlini Collection, very representative of the eighteenth century Venetian figurative culture, includes 184 paintings among which we can find works by Pitloni, Pellegrin, Ricci, Diziani, Tiepolo, Guardi, Carpaccio, Bellini.
