From 31 March 2022 to 15 May 2022

The exhibition presents the photographs of Stanislao Bragadina, one of the few professionals in Brescia, at the turn of the sixties and seventies, working in a studio equipped to make portraits.

The exhibition

Curated by Renato Corsini with Marco and Matteo Rapuzzi

They are images that look and absorb the suggestions of photographers from Paramount Pictures or Columbia who portrayed stars such as Rita Hayworth, Grace Kelly, Ava Gardner or Jayne Mansfield, whose images arrived in Italy to accompany, promote and feed the myth.

The portraits of the women of Brescia that Stanislao Bragadina handed down to posterity are therefore characterized by the light expertly and finely diffused, for the depth of field at the refined service of the calibrated blurs, for the fresh hair of “combing”, the make-up not visible but delicate and measured, the dreamy and winking look and the smile just accentuated with discreet malice.
