The booklet consists of several sections that alternate descriptive textual parts with images depicting the works in the exhibition La spedizione dei Mille. Memory and narrative in the pictorial reportage of Giuseppe Nodari (January 27 – April 7, 2024), held at the Sale dell’Affresco of the Museum of Santa Giulia.
The opening features a biographical outline regarding the life of patriot, artist and physician Giuseppe Nodari and a focus on the famous Expedition of the Thousand, in which Nodari personally participated;
This is followed by a description accompanied by a geographical map to better understand the dynamics related to the famous undertaking of the Italian Risorgimento.
The booklet continues with a reference to the Expedition in Numbers and the reproduction of a series of watercolours from the exhibition. To conclude, a descriptive historical reference related to the Brescians at the Expedition of the Thousand: the construction of memory and references to graphic and photographic documentation.
