The booklet Lorenzo Lotto. Incontri immaginati is a comprehensive text created around the exhibition of the same name present in the spaces of Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo from 1 December 2023 to 7 April 2024.

The booklet is divided into four sections: an introductory part, followed by a n overview of the Life of the Artist and the works presented in the exhibition. Finally, the last section focuses on the theme of Imagined Encounters, Possible Encounters.

So the protagonist is Lotto (1480 – 1556/1557) and the Imagined Encounters, Possible Encounters are those with the masters, almost of the same age, of sixteenth-century Brescia such as Savoldo (circa 1480 – post 1548), Romanino (circa 1484 – 1566) and Moretto (circa 1492-1495 – 1554). The itinerary in the rooms of the Pinacoteca revolves around five works by the Venetian sixteenth-century genius, four from loans and one present in the Tosio collection.

In The Life of the Artist we are presented with Lorenzo Lotto’s life from his birth until his death, focusing on his artistic development, allowing us to have a broad and comprehensive look at the artist.

The works on display, analysed whitin the section Works on Display are The Annunciation; The Adoration of the Shepherds; The Nativity; and Saints Roch, Christopher and Sebastian. The masterpieces are described through critical texts in Italian and English, accompanied by images.
