The Art Glass also allow you to explore the Basilica of San Salvatore which will appear in the decorative splendor desired by the last Lombard king. A unique and exciting opportunity to see this space through the eyes of King Desiderio who imagined it as a splendid mausoleum for his family.
Tour in Brixia
Roman archeological area
The virtual itinerary was enriched by the stage dedicated to the Winged Victory and the layout of the hall that houses it, designed by the Spanish architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg.
From today it is possible to explore different aspects of the statue and its history: from the iconography to the technical data, from the history of its discovery to the images of the restoration, carried out at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence. Thanks to augmented reality it is possible to look at otherwise invisible contents, such as the internal surface of the statue or the support structure.
Tour “The Castle, the weapons and the knights”
In the already suggestive setting of the Castle, visitors can now immerse themselves in an exciting journey to discover the traces left over the centuries by the Romans, the Visconti and the Venetians.
Under the guidance of Giovanni Visconti, the narration begins in the large lawn outside the Museum from the church of Santo Stefano in Arce, once in front of the Mastio, built on a late ancient martyrium in the 12th century, already being abandoned in the 16th century and definitively demolished in the eighteenth century. Knowing and having seen the sequence of religious buildings identified in this open-air space, visitors are guided inside the “Luigi Marzoli” Museum of Arms.
